Scrolls of Hope has recognized the need to join in to help these people in their time of need. We have created a program were you can help us send gifts of hope. BEING HOMELESS – Imagine waking up in a strange place every single day. You could be at a shelter, in a park or abandoned building, even in a public bathroom. Wherever you can find a place to make it through another night. You wake up and pack whatever you have to carry your stuff in and just start walking. Maybe you eat in the morning or maybe you don’t eat that day. A homeless person’s welfare is dependent on the kindness of other people. For many being homeless is not a choice. A caring packing from you could help lift them out of their shadowed state and back into the light.

Each homeless person will receive a personalized message from you in a vintage bottle and a helpful package. The “Helping Hand” package includes personal hygiene items and a self-help booklet to get re-established in mainstream society. The Scrolls of Hope package is designed to raise a homeless person's spirit while they are out on their own and show there is a way back home. There is a lot of assistance available for the homeless so we also included a list of shelters, food pantries, rehabilitation centers and any other organizations available in the area with contact names and phone numbers. The package is designed to promote and encourage self-reliance. There is also a blanket and a pillow for additional comfort. The backpack is light and durable and the rain poncho will keep them dry. For a little fun and recreation there are playing cards and a game book. Whichever package is chosen, a tracfone with a 60 minute pre-paid phone card can be added to reach out to family or to find employment.
